MobiDev At NCDevCon: Optimizing The Performance Of Mobile Web Apps

We are glad to announce another participation in a major IT event!

This time it's NCDevCon, North Carolina's Premier Web And Mobile Conference, which is taking place in Raleigh, North Carolina, on September 26-27, 2015.

Our speaker, Yuriy Luchaninov, Head of HTML5/JS/CSS Department at MobiDev, would like to share useful information about our advancements in mobile web development. The report is called "Optimizing The Performance Of Mobile Web Apps", and it covers the following issues:

• mobile performance;

• render tree optimization (repaint and reflow);

• optimization of document object model (excessive DOM, custom events, and DOM manipulation);

• JS optimization (garbage collector and object pools);

• typical mistakes and the most appropriate solutions.

Optimization problems can be solved with understanding of the inner processes in browsers. Partially the problem lies with lower capacities and weaker performances of mobile devices, if compared with desktops. Our report reveals the problem-solving approaches to layouting and resource distribution inside the app, as well as solutions to the most common problems of apps faced by end users: battery drain and visual lags.

This report will be useful for developers who work with JavaScript and HTML on mobile devices (mobile websites, hybrid apps, PhoneGap, native HTML5). However, this event is a great opportunity for business owners to meet their potential software partners face to face, and maybe even start new business relationships. Looking forward to seeing you there!
