Most of all in my life I like creating things. Something fascinating, impactful, and ambitious. It could be a game, a fiction novel, a complex web solution, or a large development team. While I have delved deeply into developing software solutions for healthcare, social networks, bank automation, and fintech domains, in recent years the retail industry has truly captured my attention. In fact, it has become one of the key areas where I find inspiration to further hone my technical skills as a solution architect. I focus on developing fault-tolerant, scalable, and high-performance systems that help our clients optimize their existing retail systems or enter the market with innovative and promising products.
My second passion is knowledge sharing. It’s incorporated into my life on different levels, from raising a kid to lecturing at university and teaching students web technologies. In day-to-day life, I use this passion and skill by leading different internships, team events, tech talks, and blogs (btw, check our MobiDev Ruby blog).
Last but not least is self-development. I have many interests, such as snowboarding, playing the drums, and climbing. On the professional side, I earned a Ph.D. in project management to gain a deeper understanding of software development processes on a large scale. It turned out particularly helpful for the complex ERP and POS systems I’ve been working on in recent years at MobiDev.
I like to say that we are alive while we learn something new.
I am an active contributor on GitHub and TechTarget. Also, I have been a speaker at the world’s top tech conferences: Developer Week and Tech Day.
Also, please feel free to check the recent webinar “Why Modernize Before Innovating” where Bentley Radkliff, Alexandra Ilinska, and I discuss why upgrading IT infrastructure and modernizing legacy software systems are essential for driving meaningful innovation in business.
