When I was a kid, my grandma tried to teach me to count on fingers and apples, but I was different – I understood only the math of coins and banknotes. Later my favorite game was playing shop – I could spend hours setting up the shelves, cash desk, and accounting. Then I dived into computers and mobile phones – they excited me.
I tried to combine my love for mathematics, technology, and foreign languages by completing a master’s degree in Applied Linguistics, hoping to work with natural language processing systems. But life can take unexpected turns and I ended up working as a teacher, developing attention to detail, scrupulousness, and a desire to figure out what led to the student’s mistake and what can be done to avoid it.
With the acquired skills and focus on helping others, I finally switched to QA engineering. And when I joined a huge ERP/POS project three years ago, it felt like my childhood dreams were coming true. All these point-of-sale terminals, pin pads, cards, cash drawers, scales, and printers are like my toys, but for adults, allowing me to see how it works from the inside.
As it was once said: “If you can make your hobby your profession, you never have to work another day in your life”. This is true about me and I eagerly keep expanding my expertise in POS systems. It feels like the playing shop game from my childhood has received an unexpected fantastic upgrade. Every day, I implement proven methods and explore innovative approaches to ensure the POS and ERP systems our team develops work seamlessly and error-free. It’s exciting to approach the product as a tech expert, continuously discovering new ways to deliver a smooth, intuitively clear solution that empowers businesses to manage their operations with confidence.
