Role Overview:
As a Data / Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our lab operations by automating processes, workflows, and testing environments. You will work closely with the Lab Manager, data scientists, and developers to implement state-of-the-art automation solutions using cutting-edge technologies, including Large Language Model (LLM) Agents and related tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions to streamline data collection workflows and other processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify automation opportunities and requirements
- Create, manage, and optimize scripts, pipelines, and tools for data processing and system testing
- Ensure scalability, reliability, and security of automated systems within the lab environment
- Monitor, debug, and improve existing automation workflows to maintain high performance
- Document all automation processes and provide training to team members as needed
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in automating data processes (data scraping, ETL pipeline creation and maintenance)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Experience in using and building SQL, REST API
- Strong understanding of systems integration and process optimization
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/a related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with fraud prevention, cybersecurity, or blockchain technologies
- Familiarity with LLM Agents, natural language processing (NLP), or related AI technologies
- Knowledge of big data frameworks (e.g., Mongo, Spark, Hadoop)
- Understanding of testing frameworks and automation testing tools
